Time's Ran Out

:welcome:GShilton,
You can but -
A lot depends on whether a self levelling screed was put over the wires first - if so you have half a chance.
Make sure you disconnect the power first, and break the tile into little pieces to gently remove.
I don't know about the warm up system (Aaron at uheat will) but most underfloor systems have a repair kit if you damage a wire!
Good luck.
John.

We have a broken porcelain floor tile over an electric Warm Up UFH system. Is it possible to remove the tile safely?

It should be possible to replace the tile and still have the heating operational. As timeless john has said if the heating is covered will SLC it will be much easier.

Assuming that the heating is working correctly now, I would use a multimeter to take a resistance reading before you remove the tile. Once the tile is removed, take the reading again to make sure its the same. Install replacement tile and then check reading is the same.

In addition to using a multimeter to check resistance, you could also use a monitor on the cable while you do the work.Underfloor Heating | Installation | Uheat, this will go in to alarm if the heating is damaged during the work.

If you do accidently damage the cable, I'm sure warmup do a repair kit but if not please contact me and we can try one of ours.
