How can I get rid of a sticky residue left after apply Lithofin stain stop to balck granite as per the instructions. It shows up shoe prints. Which product should I use or is it elbow grease?
I started to read the article about sealing stone on another thread and it reminded me of my time in a fireplace factory, nothing was sealed until the fireplace was complete, it was grouted and cleaned. I don't remember having problems cleaning off ( granite, marbles, slate, connemara marble and donegal stone (with fools gold in it) being the most porous) . Could it have been sealed in the quarry/mill? The boss would arrive with his boiled linseed mix with secret additives, he would polish it up, concentrating on fresh cut edges I might add, just as it was literally being loaded into the van !!!! Don't know what was in the bottle, he kept it locked away. He never got any complaints either, even when we used to p*ss in the jar he kept it in!!! Ha ha, I could write a book about that place.
