How can I get rid of a sticky residue left after apply Lithofin stain stop to balck granite as per the instructions. It shows up shoe prints. Which product should I use or is it elbow grease?

I started to read the article about sealing stone on another thread and it reminded me of my time in a fireplace factory, nothing was sealed until the fireplace was complete, it was grouted and cleaned. I don't remember having problems cleaning off ( granite, marbles, slate, connemara marble and donegal stone (with fools gold in it) being the most porous) . Could it have been sealed in the quarry/mill? The boss would arrive with his boiled linseed mix with secret additives, he would polish it up, concentrating on fresh cut edges I might add, just as it was literally being loaded into the van !!!! Don't know what was in the bottle, he kept it locked away. He never got any complaints either, even when we used to p*ss in the jar he kept it in!!! Ha ha, I could write a book about that place.

you should have removed any residue before it dried.....
The surface to be treated must be completely dry and clean.
Where no prior experience exists or in cases of doubt, try the
product in an inconspicuous area prior to use. Areas should be
treated in sections of approx. 10 to 15m². Evenly apply a
consistent amount of Lithofin MN Stain-Stop with a brush, a
roller or a cloth. On highly absorbent surfaces, this procedure
may have to be repeated after five minutes. Do not allow the
surface residues to dry. Residues must be completely removed
within ten minutes with a cloth. On large surfaces, remove the
residues with a squeegee and polish with a white pad.
Attention! the liquid product must sink into the stone. Do not
allow the product to dry on the surface. Dry residues will not be
removable after 3 to 4 hours.
You will have to remove the sealer and do it again... i recommend you use
lithofin wax off..Removes layers of wax, sealants, tar, oil stains, lacquer and glue. Soiling is dissolved and can then be washed off with water.

Good luck dave......
