I see the lottery price per line is going too double.. £2 a go soon..

Yes they will up the prize or 3 numbers from a tenner to 25 quid but when you look at the jackpot increases , then there is only camelot who will benefit from this doubling of the cost..

Another con... what ya think..?

don't forget the £1 cost has always been the same since the lottery launched in 1994 in the UK. So it's been a quid for nearly 20 years. I play the lottery regularly and won't mind paying £2 a time if in the grand scheme of things I win some good money. And if I don't win anything, I know that some of that money goes to charity, so I suppose that's my way of regularly giving to charity.

Of course it's a rip off. Over the last 25years they have raised approx 29 billion pounds for good causes. That is absolutely wonderful but when you pitch that against a conservative estimate of 150 billion pounds they have taken over the same period it always makes me wonder who gets the rest. I have not played the lottery for ten years for this reason.

They are very clever at creating the perception that they are a great charity giver. Considering they are supposed to be a not for profit organisation they cost an awful lot to run. Just another tax but I guess at least it's voluntary.

I think it's a bit greedy, in the present climate someone who may have done a fiver a week ain't going to do a tenner suddenly...

dont see the need to double the price to be honest .....it wont generate more money imo infact i guess people may cut back on how much they spend on it

my chances of winning have halved then, I sometimes buy a couple of lucky dips, now I'll only be buying one.
