Blunt Tool

atlas concorde 600 x 300 night mare tiles. up t0 1mm width difference and some nearly 2mm longer. also they are warped to bits. twisting left to right. even using levelling system nightmare to lay. any one else up against it with 2nd rate tiles?
Is that the ones with no forgiveness on edges? They are a nightmare for lipping, you get the four corners perfect then look and it bellys in middle, bananas

Just out of interest Ray, do you point the faults out in the tiles to the customer first or just work with what you got? Reason I ask is that when I have bad tiles like this I tend to let the customer know of the potential problems with bowing and lipping and different joints etc. but feel this can look like an excuse for doing rough work from the customers perspective. What you think?

i point the problems out and try to get them to change the tiles if the y wont change i tell them in righting the problems with a disclaimer accepting no responsibility. or if its a tiling only job and not a full bathroom refit i walk a way .
this job is an exception as its my plumbers mates brothers girlfriends house and if i walked of as i said we should of, it would of caused to many problems for bri my plumber. to try and get over the discrepancies we have lash clipped the tiles and perfectly plumbed the walls .

Thanks mate, yeah sounds a sensible way to deal with it.
