Wouldn't it be the output wattage that really matters? I have a macmar 1300 output and used it every day. even mixed concrete in 20l buckets no problem, but dont ask me who makes them. cost me $300 about 150 quid had variable speed, twin handles was the best i've used over the years. Must say though, every now and again i would get a whiff from hot bushes i guess.

rubi mix 10 all the way ,had one for about three years now still going strong , mix after mix one of the best tools ive ever bought

Bubbles, i too have this mixer and yes you do get a smell from the brushes, they supply a spare set with machine. Mines going strong after couple years and gets some pretty heavy use. Remember brushes, not bushes:lol:

But this is the "Rubi Basic line" that is being discussed !

My point being that I have the Rubimix10 which is the next step up from BL and never had a problem...i.e. the BL is budget level.
