Any of you who have seen my comments on my new Rubi saw will no doubt have noticed my only real complaint about it was the amount of water it floods onto the floor. Well, hopefully I have just received through the door from the courier (yes at 7:30pm!) a very nice drip tray to fit underneath the main body between the legs. 120cm long 55cm wide and 4cm deep. cost me about £20.00.
Bit over the top you may think, well on my first use of the saw in a farmhouse restoration, I had the saw sat on top of a 2mtr x 2mtr tarpulin to protect the nice brand new solid cherry wood floor that had been laid. Water was falling onto the tarp and was regularly mopped up. at the end of the day, during my clean up, I discovered that the water had got under the tarp and was happily soaking into the nice new floor....OMG!!!
Thankfully it mopped up OK and dried out overnight!
Why didn't I use the saw outside? 4 days of torrential rain, thats why!
Anyway this tray should do the business with a bit of luck and be £20 well spent.
