Hi All, Im new to the forum, so go easy with me!!!

Im after some advice please. I purchased a Rubi DC 250.. after swearing some years ago never to buy their cutters again.. thats another story .

I purchased the cutter online from Tools4pro.com, first mistake.
On the first job,low grade easy to cut porcelain, the cutter was cutting out 3-5mm over a 600mm tile.
I notified tool4pro and a Rubi tech came out and "fixed" the problem.
The very next job, after 5 cuts, guess what? Machine cutting out again,Rubi came out again to "fix" the issue.
The next job, yep, cutting out still.... asked tools4pro to refund me under the consumer act 2015.
they have refused stating that Rubi feel that the machine is not defective as they have fixed it twice...!!!
Has anyone had similar issues? I am a lone trade trying to earn a living and am losing money on jobs that I can no longer do as I don't have a machine that works. Getting desperate to resolve this but neither tools4pro or Rubi seem willing or wanting to honour any consumer agreements at all.

Many Thanks in advance.

Christian

Concrete guy

The design of many of the Rubi machines causes the blade to run off.

We've had a few calls from people blaming our blades but once they tried other brands they found the same issue.

The Rubi saws don't respond well to being forced through the tile, they need to cut at their own pace.

On a different note, if you're a Sole trader or limited company and the saw was bought for your business then it's very unlikely consumer law covers the transaction as this legislation was designed to protect retail end users.

Consumer law does not cover Business to Business transactions.
