Rubi in the bath

Just got moaned at again cos I put the ts40 in the bath to give it a good clean it is what makes the money my every day cutter she can have the bed if she wants

I have to ask, why dows it get so dirtt it needs a bath ? sure, everyday muck etc, clean off as you go..............................

I do give it a swipe down every day but I like to but it in the bath every 2 or 3 months for a deep clean like I said the ts40 is my every day cutter had has been for 20 years look after your tools and they look after you

Mike I love my ts40 it has and will serve me well it is the first cutter I bought and it has cut tiles every day for nearly 20 years given the time I did in management I have other cutters including a sigma which I hate and never use

i had a ts 60 and it was useless for porcelain. i bought a sigma and never looked back

I have a 60 as well you just need to try different wheels for different tiles I now know which wheel for which tile and have no problems I just did not like the sigma

it is strange to get used to. as many rubi users on here have said, the ts range is not designed for decent porcelain and the breaker (400kgs) isn't powerful enough to break it

Play fair, it depends on a lot of variables, wheel, scoring action, breaking action, tile etc, myself, I use anything from my TS50 up-over, depending on tiles

400kgs is a recommend snap not what it can do most cutters can do more that the tech says

another rubi v sigma debate lol. i used different wheels on my ts60 and tried every scoring and breaking method possible and it just wouldn't break high grade porcelain.
