Ok for cheap ceramics but, very flimsy and poorly built. There are better small cutters.

For an all-round budget cutter, a Big Clinker is hard to beat. It'll easily cut a 600 porcelain whereas I very much doubt a Rubi Pocket would.

I have a star 50n plus which is handy for site work especially given a lot of stuff fixed can be around 400mm. It is very light weight and cuts porcelain , its how you use it. I've recently used it on Johnson porcelain tiles ( 330mm I think), some rooms have a diagonal wall in so this cutter is perfect for that.

Scribe , quick tap on one of the pillars of the cutter , and a perfect diagonal cut. Saves carting my TXN700 around.

I have the same little star as diggy. Pocket rubi's arent worth spending your money on.. if you want a midgy cutter then go for a star. Its only about £10 more than the pocket anyway.
Or save a few more pennies and get the TS49+ CTD have them on offer at the moment for resonable money.

i have a big clinker but was loking for something smaller a compact for when u have to work in one room or in smaller spaces,, but will still have the gutts to preform well, ill have a look at the star 50n as metioned thanks men

We do the Rubi Star 50-N PLUS which has most of the important Star's plastic parts upgraded to cast alloy. Trouble is you might still be struggling to break porcelain over 8mm thick. Depends on your budget and regularity of use but you would be far better off more professional small cutter from Rubi, Montolit, Sigma etc.. Otherwise it'll end up being a garage/shed ornament

I used it but was not happy with the performance. Yes when they come to the market they were quite popular because of their compact size and low price. They can cut the ceramic tiles. But as per my experience sigma is far better than them.
