rubi ts 50

i`ve been looking at a few of these on e bay second hand and was wondering if they are very solid,simple bits of kit with very little to go wrong with them(except replacing the scoring wheel),or could they be a bit dodgy second hand.thanks dave.

Can't say I've used a ts 50 but other rubi cutters I own have been fine..........

I have the TS50 plus and wouldnt buy another. ITs not good for hard materials. Fine for ceramics though and doesnt show any signs of wear after a couple of years use

i have the ts 50 plus,,great for ceramics,not good enought to deal with porcelain tho imo

i have the ts 60. doesnt cut dead accurate and as already quoted, struggles with porcelain. comes with a 5 yr guarantee tho. you can buy mine if you make me an offer :lol:

had my ts 50 for 15 years and is still going strong, pretty much daily use, its always the first bit of kit in the van, mostly for ceramics. I also use it for porcelein but then dont use the breaker, I just give the tile a sharp rap on the back along the scoreline with the head of my nibblers, they usually break clean. got a Rodia 75 for the larger sizes, nice piece of kit but the rubi still does it for me

Get a sigma , better cutter and more robust...
