Hi All,

I'm a diy er with a question. I've looked thru this forum for help but I'm still unclear as to the most practical way to remedy a FLEXING floor.

The story so far.... Its a ground floor shower room max. 2 x 2 mtrs.

The floor was tiled with ceramic and grouting was loose(missing ) in the central area
I lifted the old tiles on my floating floor, and I discovered a plywood board surface ( I'm thinking good this will save me some work ).
The previous tiles were laid in flexible adhesive and much of this is still glued to the ply.

I know realise that the floor flexes with me walking on it, but if I use a recommended product will this compensate for the movement ? After all its a flexible adhesive for a flexing floor.

I don't really want to lift the old floor to fit noggins or a sub wall if a new product or method of stabilising the floor is available ?

What can I do about the old glue? Would a latex screed work ?

If I screed the floor, then tile using Mapei + latex, and grout with silicone ( all products would flex and could be the answer ? )

The new tiles are 600 x 300 Quartz starlight, so big slabs for a small room, but solid and less joints so the weight would distribute better.

Help please, to make me sleep easier!
