As far I can tell Schluter don't supply wetroom formers, therefore I will probably go for the aquadec which comes supplied with the drain and I don't really won't to buy the schluter drain if I can use the impey aquadec one supplied, but how do I seal it with the kerdi? I intend to use ditra for the whole of the bathroom floor, do I use this over the former or will I have to use the kerdi in the former area?
Thanks again.

Thanks Iv'e got it, looked at the info from schluter, am I right in understanding I just need the kerdi collar to seal around the drain and not the drain itself, sorry to sound a bit naive, but I have not done a wetroom before but don't want to overlook anything as mistakes are difficult to rectify. Thanks again.

I haven't used the drain you have but the drain should not need any other sealing apart from where it is situated in the tray...apart from the obvious pipe connections etc..i would have thought that you will have full instructions on that drain type supplied with it and then just use the instructions i gave you and put them together.....like i said if the collar doesn't fit then just make your own out of some membrane..

I thought wetdec MIGHT have talked you through it....but i think you should be ok now...

Thanks Wetdec that is excellent and makes it much clearer, another question for you, I intend you use a decoupling membrane for the full bathroom floor except the former which will have to be kerdi or similer, I want to install ufh and in the former area if feasible, whats the best method for the matting/cable i.e above or below the Ditra and also whats best in the former area. Thanks again. Rob
