Hi all,
Rob here, looking to enter the world of tiling but still not sure. At the moment I work for a mates building company doing anything from digging foundations, pouring concrete, making kits basically a general builder but with no trade. I have also been a driving instructor. I am very practical minded, always been good with my hands. I taught a lad to drive who done a course with scottish trades training centre in johnstone renfrewshire and i really fancy it. It is a six week course has anyone else done this.
Cheers

Welcome to the forum mate, have a look in the training centre feedback section of the forums to see if anyone has mentioned the centre your looking at.

hi there,
i think that the course you mention tends to spread the course over far to many weeks, best to look at someone like darren @ NETT who can give you all you need to know at the start.

Hi Rob, welcome to the forums.

I work full time in another job but on any days off I would go out helping a builder like yourself.

I really wanted to start up tiling on my own (part-time) so went to NETT a few months ago and can honestly say iv never looked back. I would strongly recommend it to anyone. Also, the fact that you already have practical skills gives you a good head start. I only tile part-time but theres alot of guys that have went full-time after going to darrens course.

good luck, ryan.
