Screeded floor

Just ripped up tiles as were installing a new kitchen, the tiles might have well been a carpet how they pulled up in a sheet!

It looks to me like a pumped in screed, very flat very smooth, but is maybe 10 years old.

What is the best way to go about tiling this, 30 x 60 ceramics are going down using weber products (rapid flexi), will priming with their prim er be sufficient or will it need sanding?

What sort of screed is it, do you know? A picture or 2 may help if you have any.

do you have a lot of heigh to make up now ?

Will take pics tomorrow, its very light grey, looks as course as sharp sand with no ballast, very very flat. Which leads me to suspect its a pumped in screed.

We are working to match in with tiling in the hall way so would prefer not to overboard with backer board if poss.

You won't need to overboard a solid floor. You just need to identify what it is to know what product need to be used and if any prep needs doing.
