Hi Vinny, for letter heads I just knocked something up on the PC and if I can do that , well anybody can. Use that for quotes, letters and occasional invoices. Have a duplicate book to put EVERY invoice in. If you make a mistake, cross it out but leave the page in or somebody might think there's a fiddle going on
Always write in the book, customer, payment and by what method, cash or if a cheque, write the number down.
Oh and get an accountant, they know the official fiddles!!

waste of ££ in this day and age with the wonders os computers and colour printers it's really not nessasery. IMO.

Just make your own.

As a professional tiler would you think people may as well do their own tiling, as it looks OK and does the job?
Just my opinion of course but to me letterheads knocked off on your PC look naff compared with something professionally printed. Depends of course on the type of work you're after, but I'd suggest that good quality business cards and quotes submitted on quality, well designed letterheads will go some way to improving your image if going for high end work.
However having said that, if you aren't going for high end work then maybe you're right and it is unnecessary.

You ain't seen my home made letterheads. I'll take the pepsi challange with pre printed ones any day.

I guess it depends how good at publishing you are and how good your printer is. I should of said that in my prevous post.

I have a very good printer and like to think I have a good, no great eye for design. You can buy top quallity paper to give your quotes that crisp feel that fools people in to thinking you paid a mint for them fairly cheap.
