I turned my back on thursday after about 20 bags mixed, not good, then went through another 10/12 bag yesterday.

The boss has decided that he wants the whole of the downstairs leveled as the floors are really bad.

I think we could be looking at another 50 bags, that would take us up to a total of 170. :yikes:

The floors are the worst we have dealt with but the company now realise that they have to get a squad in that know how to screed & do it properly.

Its a costly exercise to try & get floors level.

Mike, a lot of separate floors.

5 en-suites with heat mats roughly 50m2 in those,

Kitchen/Utility is about 60m2, levelled this 3 times as its limestone tiles going down,

Front vestibule & rear porch are roughly 25m2,

The rest of the floors are getting hardwood floor coverings, Music Room, Dining Room, Main Livingroom & Hall. At a guess there will be 150/200m2 in those & these have to be levelled, These floors dont have to be as near perfect as the others.

We will get handsomely paid for this so we aint complaining, back out working tuesday though

Yes, how big mate? Also, how are you sorting the levels out with such a big area? Just curious as never done one so big before!

We are sticking in strips of wood across the door thresholds so the level doesnt run into each area then ripping them back out when the levels dry. all doors have expansion gaps in the concrete screeed.

Its only the kitchen/utility door where we have to have the tiles running through but we will put in an expansion gap across this.
