They also wanted to go for adding soundproof board, the types I know not applicable to use with screws, had to rip off entire floor after another tiler last year same situation, fibre mesh saved the day then. Had a phone call yesterday someone screwed up wet floor they reported whole bathroom stinks, oh boi prepare myself for worst...

That sounds interesting, have to check it out. What minimum thickness you re going for? If it is the one I think of, it can be used on walls as well. (or used similar in Austria back in time)

No, renovation screed is floor only at 2mm minimum

They haven't started yet only at the rip everything out stage. Was not confirmed at this stage if they want any sound isolation etc. It's an expensive project I am sure will take attention to it. It will be site meeting soon with all trades involved so will know the exact details.

Why cement board over ply .lay heating over ply self level then ditra mat it .

I like renovation screed as it flows well,
I'm not too keen on Weber as its a 10mm minimum over wood.
Try some of the TileMaster levellers, they are really good.
