Hi everyone

I’ll be needing to put down some self leveller to make up the 10mm difference on a sand/cement screed in a few weeks.

The walls are being plastered (solid and stud) on Monday and Tuesday and I’ll be hoping to do my pour on the Wednesday and being tiling on the Friday.

My question is will the plaster want to draw the moisture from the levelling compound and become damp? Can I make some small barriers say with backerboard glued on as a barrier or will a barrier tape be better?

Curious on people’s thoughts. Any help much appreciated.

Cheers

Dan

Yeah create some barriers but don't be too worried about it drawing too much moisture as the fast setting stuff would set a lot quicker than plaster.

Cement and plaster shouldn't mix though generally. It won't bond. But you don't want it to obviously. If tiling any of the walls the plasterboard would take more weight than skimmed plaster so don't skim the bits needed for Tiling.
