Hi all, I'm sure these problems can be fixed very quickly with your help.

Problem 1. Can someone do a quick guide for window reveals and edging. I cut the facing tiles slightly proud of the window and push ny trim on, thus creating an edge to hide the tiles in the window reveal, correct or not? Takes me ages.

Problem 2. Cuts to the top, sides and bottom, best technique, I push the tile(upside down and back to front) to the ceiling or floor and mark then cut inside mark to allow for spacer, correct of not.

I make mistakes on both points and to be honest it really does my head in.

Any advice greatly apreciated.

Nice advice people, gotta love this site, what about Silicon then folks, I use a sopay water spray bottle but still make a bloody mess, and the corners really hack me off.

If it is that messy, you need to cut the tube smaller, when running mastic/silicon you are only lightly running your finger just to profile the finish, you are not trying to remove the material, defeats the object of doing it in the first place
I have mentioned it before, make yourself a mock corner out of some wood and apply some tiles to create a corner of a room. Use this to practice on, keep adding and removing the silicon until you feel you have the right pressure. Practice makes perfect, it's one of those things you can't really teach, you just have to do, unfortunately most of the time it's at a clients job!
The amount coming out of the tube should look as if you don't need to run your finger over it, i.e. the thickness is what you was looking for. I also use a spray bottle with fairy, works better than the cheap stuff, better degreasing = better non stick to your finger etc.
Also don't use tissue, you end up needing loads and it gets everywhere, use an old tea towel, soak it, ring it out and keep using small parts of it to wipe your finger. Keeps all the waste in one place, rather than all over your customers bin, floor etc.

Hope this helps
