Sorry have been meaning to post this for a few days now but kept on forgetting.

On saturday the 14th of this month my wife and i attended a friends wedding which was brilliant (stayed over at the hotel so got hammered:thumbsup:) The hotel was superb the food fantastic and the barmaid petite blond and very pretty.....so all good.

On the evening we were joined by a couple of friends who to be honest i haven't seen for a while but who i get on really well with, so we settled in for the night.:hurray::hurray:

now as is customary at such occasions the first dance is reserved for the newly married couple, but after this the disco (how very 70's lol) begins.

Now this is where the D J has either a wicked sense of humour or was basically taking the mickey.......and i kid you not this is the gods honest.

First song: Candi staton.....young hearts run free, who's opening lyrics are as follows
What's the sense in sharing this one and only life
Ending up, just another lost and lonely wife
You count up the years, and they will be filled with tears, oooh
Love only breaks up, to start over again
You'll get the babies, but you won't have your man
While he is busy loving every woman that he can, huh huh

Followed by Claire Maguire The shield and the sword. Which has the opening lyrics

You and I
Felt so good to begin with didn’t we?
Well now it seems there’s far too many adverts in between
And we don’t speak
So we’re left in constant silence
It’s haunting me
So I’m ready now to fight this

You have the shield
I’ll take the sword
I no longer love you
No longer love you
I’m not afraid of danger in the dark
I no longer love you
No longer love you

There was also a few rather relevant songs thrown in during the night but sadly i got too drunk to remember what they were.
