I was out , my daughter answered the phone, he said is that the tiler number she said theres no one at home at the moment my mum will be back at 6 he said can i talk to your dad i need a quote for my bathroom, my daughter replied its not my dad who's the tiler its my mums that the tiler he replied oooooo im sorry , PMSL think he was speachless. He said he would call back didnt leave his number , no call yet but i got his number il give him till tonite will call him back and make him talk to me.

I would think that would be the normal reaction if you think what the ratio of female tiler is in the country.
i guess if you called a babysitter, ironing service, house cleaner, curtain makers etc that it would be the opposite but there are no rules to who can do what job.

As another thought , i would have thought that you could have made it clear on your advertising that you are female as it can work in your favour. I know in my area there are 2 women tilers ( or there were) and they always stated the fact they were female in all their ads.

If you thought that maybe someone would be put off in some way by a female then why not run 2 seperate ads, one stating you are female and the other just as a tiler.

Thats a though...is there such a thing as a Tileress??

It did make me laughhhhhhh, and my daughter was crackin up but seriously i thought long and hard about puting in that i was a lady tiler, but wasnt sure if it would put people off , and my friends were worried about security as in weirdo's, ? my answerphone message is answered by me, and my new cards do say my name Jules/Julie .
