hi and yes was thinking the same ,but then i know three guys working there and they all say hes stop on for money ,

Talking to your tiler friend and discussing the price of this job and agreeing to stay at the same price is called "price fixing" and it is actually illegal,I know the builder was trying to get you involved in a dutch auction but he is entitled to negoitiate the best deal he can for himself and you did give him an excellent price but be careful of discussing prices of particular jobs with other tilers you know are pricing as you may find you get yourself in hot water.
