Discuss Show Us YOUR Work Thread - Tilers Pictures in the Tiling Work Showcase Forum area at TilersForums.com.

Edit May 2024: THIS is a New Show Us Your Work Thread for 2024 Onwards

This is the new Tilers Showcase Forum where we want new tiling work added, with each tiling job you complete having a thread of its own so people can see what kind of work you do, and potential customers can find your work

I thought it was about time we had a thread dedicated to all members of Tilers forums to show us any work that they do.

Be it from installing a kitchen to garden decking. Show us your work! Get those pictures taken, but then do something with them! Actually add them to a thread and some facebook groups with your website link in them etc and it'll help spread the tile love. :)

If you have done a job then please do share it with us.

Pics are a MUST as what is the point of sharing a job without them..:smilewinkgrin:.

So if you do a job and you take a few pics then please do share it with us.

Lets make it a big thread for all to view and input in.

Thanks Dave ..:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Believe it or not, this is supposed to be ivory travertine...:lol:

G, I always use grey grout for this stuff. I've used ivory and sand before and they really seem to pull the pattern apart. Here's an image of the same pattern (although the right hand one does have slightly darker colours) which shows what I mean. View attachment 33799

Yep, thought you might. There is this truth about white grout having a separating effect. When I did my appletree in my bathroom I was fully aware of the danger of that but decided on white anyhow to keep that clean look with the white tiles, but I know, and it does bug me a little at times, that the branches etc would have shown better with a grey grout. The choice of grout can really make or break a piece can't it, but grey makes itself almost invisible in mosaics, letting the patterns come out....

Mosa that why i cant understand when the architect or designer says i want the grout the same colour as the tiles might as well just paint the wall imo

In many ways I agree with you, but there are exceptions, especially with black white or beautiful stone, where you don't want anything detracting from the overall effect. And there is nothing better than tiles or glass in a bathroom, is there... :)

A couple of before and after pics of a small bathroom, had to sort out te beyohe stud wall behind bath to make panel flush with existing wall, removed hearth and made a small feature of the chimney breast. before anyone mentions it the customer absolutely refused the use of any tile trim. (and mitre joints are a step too far for me at the moment.
