You're asking on a tiling forum! I sincerely doubt anyone here is going to recommend using anything with the words "waterproof" and "mdf" in the same description!

Spend the money either on a professional tiler who will ensure your installation lasts, or make a proper job using proper materials if you DIY.

Seriously though, I do a lot of referral work from Porcelanosa and a good many of the showers I "sort out" have been ruined by these types of boards. In all fairness they're often not installed correctly, but a proper tiling job - perhaps using very large porcelain (see porcel-thin) is a FAR better alternative.

I've also used Mermaid board, which can cope with steam rooms and is quite a high specification from memory. I think it's 9mm marine ply sandwich between two layers of completely impervious facia. Think of it like a sheet of solid tanking.

It is a good product but has to be fitted correctly or it will fail, but the same goes for any product in reality.

With this type of product you generally fit it (glued) to a frame or studwork rather than directly to a wall.
