Howzit going people! Just about to start my first job and need to buy a wet cutter quickly ... Used a Biccolina on my course and although I could not fault it, it was totally unable to handle 45 degree mitres on raised borders so I'm looking for a better wet cutter.

The fella at Topps Tiles was very helpful and said they have a Sierra Electrica 850W model that would be what I am looking for but I'm not convinced because I can't find anything on them - can anyone help??

Also, has anyone got the Makita 4191 wet cutter? It looks small and compact but again, there's not too much written about this either because it looks new to market (might be wrong on this one).

I've got £200 to spend ... let me know guys, I've got a job to start next week tiling a 15 sq m bathroom with 635mm x 315mm tiles so need to get the right cutter that'll do the job.

Final thing - used a plasplugs on the course as well and if you like a shower at work then that's the one to go for so the less spray the better!!

Thanks in advance :mad2:

Is this the Sierra Electrica model Gaz?? The fella in my local Topps Tiles in Birkenhead was very helpful but I'm dubious about spending out 200 notes on something I've not tried and can't see online ... any advice is much appreciated!!!
On my system it is just called wet saw...800watt. If you have time to scoot over to Preston...I constantly have one on display..they sell like hot cakes, you won't find pictures of it online because it is exclusive to topps,I reckon it is supplied by QEP...but don't quote me.....I may even sell it to you at forum discount price.....Gaz

Those cutters have been out for years...nice and handy for site work when there's no power on etc..

Still wondering if any of you experienced guys have actually bought a sierra electrica tile saw from Topps and got anything positive to say i.e. recommend it to me as a novice as I have my 1st job this week tiling a bathroom floor to ceiling with 635mm x 325mm tiles.

Let me know guys so I can make up my mind whether or not to shoot over to Preston to have a look at Gaz's model ...
