If it is a fault it's only the measuring bar that's making it cut out of square, so that's an easy swap for a new one. I'll PM Derek when I get 5 mins and see if he can help.

Thats what mine has Gary, if I turn the bar upside down the push pin doesnt seem to be located in the centre if that makes sense, it seems like its machined wrong, so what should be 0 is maybe more like 2 degrees.

I think you find that can be adjusted.

Hello Bri, I myself have come across the same thing from time to time. It all depends on the tile type I have found. Some prc can be scribed and broken no problem. Some I need to scribe then keep one hand on the base of the handle keeping a little pressure on then with my other hand tap the end of the handle which the brakes quickly with little force. I might try and do a little video showing this.
