you could always try graffite lock smiths use it to lubricate lock's instead of light oil ,so as not to attract dust /dirt and clogging the mechanism .........

Silicon spray is what I have always been told. Big can for only a few quid.

Believe it or not i find using any type of spray clogs the bar up,i use a damp sponge and have never had it sticking and thats on the 3 sigmas i have.

What do you guys use to lubricate the bar on your cutters? Have tried wd40 but its not really very good

Try the butter from your sandwiches;!! Lol. I use a bit of car polish also ! Found that wd40 only ended up dripping everywhere !

I was told years ago, NEVER lubricate the bar
Just keep it clean and DRY

I use WD40 as it's usually handy but only need to spray a cutter if it's not been used in a few weeks. By right they should just be kept clean and wiped down daily to stop them sticking in the first place though.

Even gun oil will build up gunk etc.To assure the best protection of the metal on the tile cutter you can clean the parts first with oil.Basically clean them with oil,then wipe them dry with clean cloths till they are bone dry.Then re-lubricate the parts that need it.Personally I think WD40 will do the same thing as any other oil!
