I've been a Rubi user for 9 years, but have found in recent months, even my TX 900 N is not cutting these extremely hard porcelian tiles.

So, I have decided to invest in a new cutter from another make!!!! Rather scarced to be honest! Why, because I'm on a dead line re work and will have to learn how to use the new cutter.

Montolit, looks good, can it do the job? Sigma, most tilers I talk to now use them. My problem, I'm used to a Rubi and seeing my off-centred lines with the scribe. I'm not accustomed to a single-rail cutter, not being able to see my pencil marks. I've spoken to several tilers who have told me its easy, BUT, being a Rubi man I can't see it!!!!!

Also, I'm only 48, but feeling my age, and don't want to carry these heavy Rubi cutters up flats in London any more, its killing me!!!!!

Alot of my clients, in very rich areas of Lodon and Surrey are buying these porcelian harden, like rock!!! tiles now, and I really would like some advice and thoughts.

A very warn out Fred, and I mean warn out! Plus some little git tried to break into my van, now I have to crawl though the front to open the rear door, very pee'd off!!!

I was in one of my suppliers shops tonight and they had a few sigmas on show.
The 3C is a 75cm cutter with all the gadgets and looks a cracker, I might change my 63cm 3B to it soon.
Very handy size for easy cutting of 600's etc but the 3B cuts the lot for me well.
I also fancy a sigma bridge cutter for marble slab cutting etc.

Thought about getting a big clinker for porcs??? Only problem is 610mm is max tile size. Bargain though

I got one about 18 months ago when I was waiting to get a TX700, great cutters for the price but, I found it started to get a bit wobbly and cutting wonky after about 6 months, it's gathering dust in the garage now!
