Hi guys
Thought I'd fill you in on what happened today at work, I think what your about to read will put this argument to bed once and for all!!:hurray:
So I'm tiling this small hallway, I've started at the end furtherest from the front door and I'm working my way back. As I get closer to the door it's getting tight for space so I move all my tools out to the front drive including my cutter. At around 2.30pm a guy pulls up in a van to deliver wooden floors, he stops about 3 or 4 feet away from all my gear. He gets out I show him where the flooring has to go and he gets back in the van to reverse to the side door of the house.
Now here comes the interesting bit!!!
In order to reverse around the side, the guy has to drive forward to get the angle to turn the van. ( can you see where this is going? )
Sure enough as I'm watching while filling a bucket of water, he proceeds to drive straight over the front end of my cutter:mad2::mad2:
As the list of swear words came out of my mouth I watched the cutter do a full flip and land upside down on the ground.
the guy gets out of the van, he looks at me, I look at him!!!! I walk over and look at my poor cutter and low and behold not even so much as a single scratch on it!!:hurray:
Which type of cutter was it?? Sigma of course
Not only was it strong enough to stand up to a van being driven over it, it was also smart enough to take a lump out of the muppets front bumper while it flipped, serving to remind him to never ever drive over a sigma again.
As I said above I think we can now put this issue to bed as I don't think there could be any more conclusive evidence to support the fact that Sigma is, always has been and always will be the best cutter out there!!
Any one thinking of buying a RUBI, while they might look impressive you have to ask yourself, sure it might cut great, but could I drive my van over it??
:lol::lol:
