Silicon or grout around wet room waste ?

do you Silicon or grout around the edge of the wet room waste ?

so you would treat it like an internal corner ? no grout just Silicon thanks

If its to the tiles - Silicon - but if you are using some types of waterproof membranes ie Impey, then Silicon is not compatible.

Gents, I was wondering if I could perhaps expand a little more in relation to northstar's question. I have just completed the installation of a Tuff2 former into a small on-suite bathroom. I have tanked the walls using Dural Wp and Mapei Keraquick adhesive. Next phase will involve tanking the Tuff2 former still using Dural Wp membrane. When interfacing the membrane with the drain (TF75), there is a clamp ring held in place with two securing screws. I assume that the membrane should be threaded under the clamping ring but remain a little unsure as to whether the membrane and ring should be clamped togeter and sealed using a layer of thin set adhesive or Silicon (is the Dural Wp Silicon resistant?). If Dural Wp is silicon resistant, I assume that you would seal between tiles and drain with colour matching silicon (in place of grout?)? Any further expansion on this subject would be most appreciated....Bill R.
