Hi
I had a phone call from someone I know who has a villa in Portugal. He has a tiled verenda with tiled skirting. He's noticed some water damage on a wall in the room below the veranda.
When he's looked at the veranda where the tiles meet the tiled skirting at the edge it's grouted, which has cracked and started to get washed away, so this is probably where the leak is.
If I was tiling a floor inside I would Silicon where the edge meets the wall, I guess this is the case outside? Having checked the BAL website their Silicon is suitable for exterior.
I just want to check the solution would be to scrape the cracked grout out and Silicon seal? Is there a better Silicon to use outdoors?
Should I arrange a free of charge / expenses only visit to investigate? :8::lol:
Thanks
Ben
