Silicon Remover

Just on re boarding a bathroom and the upvc windows is caked in Silicon. Want to remove this before skimming it up. Any top tips on solutions, or ways to remove it offthese plastic windows so not to damage or leave nasty scratch marks would be much appreciated. Cheers D

Pvc solvent cleaner after you peel the thick off.

Wickes do a Silicon remover, or did.
I know nothing about it, never used it, don't know if they even still do!
Not a lot of help I know, but I have actually seen a bottle of it! Haha

I use a new scraper to remove the majority of it, then isopropanol to thoroughly wipe off residue. Works a treat!

No nonsense Silicon remover from screwfix. Works for me everytime. Bang it on, have a brew while it kicks in, scrape away

Be careful with Silicon removers on pvc frames ... Always check suitability.

Dow Corning. Smells like oranges and works a treat. Apply it, leave it for 30 minutes, wipe it of and the Silicon comes off with it. Well..... its almost that simple.

LTP solvex works too. But that doesn't smell of oranges. And don't know 100% if it reacts the pvc but will find out (for my own knowledge if nothing else)
