skirting tiles??

doing a friends wall and floor in bathroom.she doesnt want normal skirting but tile skirting.i no i can make my own but is there anywhere i can get specific tile skirtings.what does everyone else do??

i make my own that way you know they will match in colour and width perfectly, otherwise go back to the retailer and ask if they do anything to match your particular tile.

same as brummie just cut floor tiles up and use as skirtings , most cove tiles only come in 150mm anyway......

We only now have 2 matching skirtings for tiles available,both are made specifically for the tile,one is for the Padova range we all know,and the other is for Azores and Caoba a 45 x 45 tile that looks like wood YAK.Always better to cut your own and egde in matching trim.

thanks to all.also to gaz-iv never seen skirting tiles with the trim.suppose it defines it.do you have any photos atall?might give it a go if it looks ok.thanks.

some ceramics dont have glazed edges so tile trim finishes them off nice.....

Same as the guys have mentioned, just cut the floor tiles to make skirtings, looks nice too.

do you put the skirt tiles on after you fully finish floor??

do they sit ontop of floor tile???

haha. new tiler here. just trying to gather up bits and pieces of things.

just finishes nvq and i know when out in the real world you dont have those nice square and flat wall and floors to tile onto.

whats the highest you would go with floor tile??

4-5 inch at the most, you can buy tile skirting with a curve on them which comes in at 100mm

am tiling a kitchen tomorow. when cutting skirt tile, would the good edge of tile be next to the floor tile and the cut edge be at trim??
