Cant answer that question paul as i was out the country at the time of them being fitted.


Got hold of the tiler today and to his credit he was quickly apologetic about whats happened but is unsure whats happening. Hes took a few sample spare tiles to have a look at and will get back to us.

Hoping its nothing major cant deal with this going badly esp when my house is like a building site at the mo with all the other guys working away

im thinking its possibly the trapped in moisture as im sure i covered every inch of slate.

Ken i tested on small patches behind a internal cupboard door before doing the rest and the sealer went on ok no fizzing etc.

Ill let you guys know the outcome from the original tiler as soon as i hear.

I appriciate all the help coming btw
