Slate tiles on plywood

GAZ,do you sell FILA impregnator sealants?
Funny you should ask:teeth_smile: The thing about Fila is that it is an impregnator not a surface coating, usually 2 coats = permanent. Many sealers that went before were surface only, holding the customer to ransom for more maintainance products for the life of the tile, not very sporting eh?

Just don't learn the hard way like me and trust your customer to seal their own tiles. You may just find that 2 coates they reckon they gave them is actually more like a half hearted attempt at one.

🙁

No, get one from trade tiler, or local building suppliers, my first ever job was 95 metres of uncalibrated slate, took me two days to sort it out, thick, medium and thin. before i started, i was lucky as another tiler told me to always ask when laying slate so i charged for sorting it.
