got 45m2 of slate 600x600 to lay............ ain't done slate before or anything that big......... so any tips would be welcome

its on a wooden dining room floor into a concrete conservatory ...... yeah its uneven slate finish.................
 
slate is nice to lay,rough and natural !
you might need to grade it into different thicknessess
 
use an impregnating sealer, I normally give the slate a coat before fixing and a coat after grouting. Store slate inside before cleaning transport and scuff marks, so making sure it's bone dry before you apply your first coat of sealer:thumbsup:
 
you will also need to seal it!

i usually clean the slate down with a damp cloth to get rid of dust before sealing.
 
I like slate, here is one i did earlier!!

cheers lads..........no probz with it .......... was just getting some extra advice, given i never used the stuff before and never laid tiles that big
 
flexi adhesive and grout,work clean and wipe the tiles clean if you get adhesive on the face ,makes life a lot easier.
