Small jobs

Seem to be getting a lot of small jobs 5 m2 and under lately, kitchens,bathroom floors I have been pricing it on day rate, how would some of you lads price and how low would you go before you stop pricing per m2 ,I normally stop at 6 m2 and below this just give day rate.

i do very little on day rate , but a 5m2 job would have to be day rate imo

a lot depends on what's involved and the time it will take, ie a 6m galley kitchen floor may well be worth doing on a metreage, whereas a 6m kitchen splashback would be better on day rate.

I never price per mtre unless its a big enough area! I know how long the job will take and work out how many days and price it like that!! Each to there own

I have a set price up to 4m2 then pm2 thereafter. Covers a day rate

I agree with the £150 plus materials splashbacks can take longer to do than a big kitchen floor
