I've got a small 2 bed detached bungalow in a village in East Sussex. The Estate agent has just valued at £375,000. A similar property in the town 2 miles down the road would be around £100,000 less! I feel sorry for youngsters trying to get on the ladder now.

Only time I lived in London I was still a student in the early 80's. Prices and rents were expensive even back then, I couldn't get a place in the halls of residence so I spent 4 months squatting in a house on Portobello Road. We eventually got evicted so we moved three doors away to another house where we squatted till the end of our stay.
