Sodden window sill

Hi i am doing a bathroom and the problem the customer has was that where her shower was pointing into the bath when she has a shower quite a bit of water ends up on the window sill which has resulted in the sill being sodden and water coming in in the kitchen from the ceiling.
What can i use to rebuild the window sill and what measures do i need to take to prevent this happening again, like using a tanking system , what to build the sill back with etc.
The shower has to stay where it is as the bathroom is tiny and regardless which end the shower goes on the sill will still get wet so moving the bath isnt an option.

I would have thought putting a fall out on the cill would prevent sitting water soaking through

I'm guessing a piece of backer board set in and siliconed round the edge would do the trick.....and set with a slight fall.

what is the position of the window to the bath?if eg if cill had a fall would water fall off into bath,do you think the water soaks into/through wood on cill,into brick/block,soaks into wall then out onto ceiling of kitchen?whats the sealant like round the bath?any pic's

Good point jolly fix otherwise as above a window sill built up for sufficient fall and, (now this is a non-tiling option, don't shoot me down in flames, guys) IF the seal around the bathtop/wall is ok a waterproof curtain of blind over the window overlapping the sill might give added protection... depending on the style of the bathroom...

come across this problem a few times. If the customer has a shower curtain I try to suggest a 'wrap round curtain rail which eliminates any possible water damage

Thanks for all help guys looks like a cill with a slight fall on it will do the trick. The bath runs the full length of the window underneath it so with a good sealed bath and a slight fall in the cill all should be ok cheers.
