The natural role of the male in most mammal species is to breed and to provide to the dependants and this is inherent behaviour to most of us. So for many men, to admit they have little work is to admit a failure in their masculinity. Inversely to claim to have loads of work at a high rate is another manner of flexing their muscles to try and impress others.

I know that really, just having a bit of fun... :) men swagger and beat their chests metaphorically the same as gorillas, and women do the flirty stuff the same, great fun though, would be boring without it ... just as long as people know what it's all about... it's the people who don't and think they are dead clever, that's when the trouble starts... and we get back to the letter P ....
