Some tile shops will sell anything.

Started a bathroom today which i quoted last week, tiling the bath area only tiles to finish at end of bath finished with aluminium profiles, which i said i could provide for them..not neccesary said the customer as they had already bought them from the tile shop aswell as the adhesive. All materials and tiles delivered yesterday afternoon...660 x 300 porcelain tiles 10mm thick.....:yikes::yikes::yikes: .......8mm aluminium profile, when i showed the customer they informed me that the shop assistant had said that this was the right size????. Took the receipt and the trims and the customer back to the shop and spoke to the assistant(name was on the receipt) explained the situation and he said "and what is wrong with them then?" oh and it was tubbed adhesive..:mad2::mad2::mad2:

ah how i wish this was the case....have just phoned the shop to speak to the manager who was out when i arrived yesterday, turns out that he owns the business aswell (not a massive company) and he basically admitted that he knows nothing about tiling at all he just buys and sells them, and will sell anything the customer wants without asking anything as to were they will be going ie 600 x300 with tubbed addy, travertine without sealant, poilshed porc no sealing etc etc, not his problem when they are down he said.
