Split bags

Do any of you get good deals on split bags of adhesive?
I always ask in Topps. Got 6 bags of SPF white (orange bag) for £12 each (normally just under £17).
Some Topps prefer to sell it to the public for 20% off retail !!!!

The downside is that some bags are so split that there is a trail of adhesive from Topps to my car, and from my car to the job!

Yeah, free mate. Jump in to Topps when there getting a Palace delivery. They can write them off as they are Nil Return & marked as undelivered. Bal is a different story. The burst bags must be kept in store for the Rep to see first and so can ply be marked down on price.

I can't believe you get the stuff for free. I was pleased with £12 :hurray:.........but not any more:incazzato: !!!!!! I did see a CTD pdf with prices on it last week on this site, but I can't find it now. Anyone know where it is?

no mate, not worth the hassle of having all the mess in the van, my mate who does it is a real tight ***!!

My supplier has a burst bag list so if you time it right there's usually one in the bottom corner on each pallet. Hard to beat free adhesive until it spills all over the van.

A split bag dust mess in the back of your van is just bot worth the hassle, i usually. Leave excess materials with customer unless i know in going to use on next job

A free bag worth £15-20 is worth brushing the van out at the end of the week for. Have a plastic box I put all my half bags/burst bags etc into. After all, all the half bags add up.
