Its probably just me...the best way i can explain...if i was to cut the tiles to the exact shape of the window on the outside then put this trim in... The outside will be flush but when i put the inside tiles in there is a 4-5 mm gap?? :mad2:
So therefor ive got to hang the outside tiles over 5mm to get the inside flush.

I think I see what you are talking about now. You have already fixed the outside tiles to the wall around the window and you are fixing the trim to the internal walls for tiling into. Have you already cut your recess tiles to fit the window? If so you will have cut them too short which is why you will have a gap. You will need to fix the trim and then cut your recess tiles to suit!

I've not cut any yet grumpy...ive tiled below the window and then i've tiled colums either side and then bridged the top making sure everythin is square.. (this is the way i was showed at NETT) So now i just have to tile around the window and the inside of the window...i got 2 scrap pieces of tiles held one on the outside level with the window edge, put the trim to it then i put the other scrap piece of tile on the inside and the inside sticks out around 4-5mm so to get the inside flush i will have to cut the outside tiles 4-5mm past the window...(if that makes sence) I'm assuming i put the trim under the outside tile??

Tile around the window to the correct opening size. When happy with the tiles on the wall around the window opening you want to rub the edges down with a rubbing stone if your cutting isnt too good but anyway, then cut a piece of trim (i usually cut the head of the cill 1st), mitre the ends so it is a good fit across the width of the head of the cill and then spread adhesive on the head of the cill. Place the trim in place so that the rounded edge is flush with the wall tiles. Then insert the tiles between the trim and window ( you may need to cut these) . Next do either sides and follow that with the lower cill.
Does this link help at all

Do you put the inside window reveal tiles in first then slide your trim in to them. Then put the outside ones on last??
Do you allow anything for adhesive?

Thanks

Outside 1st
Then trim inside window
Then inside tiles
If you have 8mm tiles and 9mm trim it should work perfect by just spreading the wall and pushing tile into the adhesive. Most tiles have slightly rounded edges and you will get a good finish to the trim. Do not place the cut edge against the trim when inserting the tiles inside your window reveals/cill.

Excuse me for being thick sir ramic..if you do the outside first then trim the inside window then put inside tiles on...how do you fix the trim?? with masking tape??
Either way i put the trim though i think im still going to get this 4-5 mm lip.
If the inside of the window is well out of square could this be the cause of it?
