Hi

I've decided to take a change in career direction after being made redundant from my current job in October working for an insurance company. I have booked on the Diamond Training course in Arundal but finding how to start the actual business quite daunting.

Does anyone have any advise when first starting out, how to get business and to market myself? Do you know how I would start networking?

I would be very gratefull for any advise out there especially from any fellow women tilers too.

Thanks, Cathy

Use the fact that you are a woman in your marketing, and target places that women spend time. For instance, flyers or business cards at the Hairdressers/Beauticians etc. There are a lot of people out there that would feel safer having a woman tradesperson in their house, and are more likely to trust a woman in general.
