Starting your own business

My names Daniel and I’m looking to start my own business. At the moment I work for a company but I’m thinking of starting out by myself...a big step I know.

I’m just looking for advice, tips and ideas and to meet like minded people.

I’ve started putting a few things in place already.

Never actually worked for myself, but I would think self discipline is quite a big attribute needed. If you haven't got a particular job on, rather than laying in bed all morning recognise that there are other things which you could be doing - getting your accounts up to date, marketing work to drum up new business, cleaning tools etc.

It's marketing which is my biggest fear...

do i get pro company to design website and get it done right or even advertise with the yellow pages?

thanks, not really keen on monthly fees and setup costs - just too much information.

Rather sit down with small web design company and get the personal touch.

I'll bookmark it though and have a proper read.
