Sticking Mosaic tiles with Silicon

Help!
I am having my bathroom tiled with porceline mosaic tiles, some of which are in a shower. My bathroom fitter wants to stick them on with Silicon, is this ok or not?

sounds like he should stick to fitting bathrooms and not tiling

is he a bathroom fitter or a tiler? i'd be wary of letting him carry on after suggesting that.

Definitely not........ A quality SPF adhesive should be used.

Your 'tiler' obviously doesn't know what he's doing and he's going to be putting tiles on where there's going to be a lot of water. I think you should look for someone else.
