Hi all,
i'm new to the site and i hope all are well, i completed an excellent 5 day course at NETT a few weeks ago with a view to go self employed very soon, i took the chance to put all my new skills to the test in the last few days doing a little job for friends, i could of however choose an easier job for my first.
I decided to lay 6mm hardibacker onto a chipboard floor it was tricky cutting round petestals and toilets but worth the experience, but i wont be using the screws provided as they didn't seem to sit flush on the backer board, no matter how hard i pushed down.
all in all it was only 5 sq m but with lots of obsticles it took me 2 and a half days to complete so i'm well happy and so were the customers
now bring on a nice easy kitchen splash back.
