Does anyone know of a suitable cement backer board that can be used externally to make the squareing / levelling off of a step easier / quicker i understand hardibacker is`nt any help appreciated

It can be left exposed to the elements for 6 month if need be.........

and i take it that it is ok to use as a step base as a lot of these cement board manufaturers say it is ok to use on walls but not on concrete floors , thanks for replys

I use it for rendering not tiling so my knowledge is limited but i know its freeze thaw tested
