well i tiled walls and steps ,BUT the floor screed was hollow all over and cracked and needed replacing the pool builders on me pointing this out to them said " DON'T WORRY THE WAIGHT OF THE WATER WILL HOLD IT DOWN :yikes: merchant bankers :mad2::mad2: so i walked away

I have question about swimmin pool.is it true that if there is a hole in grout presure of water will make it loose?it is lot of tons of water....I am curious as I never worked on swimmin pool

sounds like an old wife's -tail to me mate ,the water in a swimming pool penetrates through the cement-based grout & addy & render ,the tons of water do have an affect on the pool with expansion in all they layers that make -up the lining of the pool, also the heating -up/cooling down all cause thermal-expansion as well that is why it's best to tile a shell of a pool directly ( it cuts down on layers ) and always used expansion joints as per BS ........
